The Harvest Queen Stepping into the city of Flowerbud, a lost soul I am.
Where do I go? How do I live? Who do I see?
I have no axe, no seed, no friend, no plan!
Just my dog and five cents of G’

Until I see her, under the mystic light of the Harvest Moon where she stands.
Granting me my desires with her wisdom
Showing me the way of the village and the lands.

Seeking out every secret big and
Frustration No one will listen
Just take offense
Too busy bitchin’
Moods becoming tense

I hate not getting my say
Trying to make me the bad guy
They just want their way
Swear words fly

Are you ears deaf?
Are my words empty?
I’ve no patience left
Bad feelings a plenty

You make your demands, with a big hissy fit
Respect thrown out the window
But I’ll throw you right out with it
Shouting worse than on a “reality” show.

And if you don’t like that…

You can kick yourself where you’re at!
The Day is Near On a day like today
As I look into the sea of stars above
I can feel my spirit begin to stray
Sprouting wings and flying away like a dove

And I can sense the day is near...

To soar through the dark expanse
The stars and faith my only light
Desperate for the chance
To see His face that is warm and bright

And I can feel the day is near...

Father time I left behind
The Earth no longer remembers my name
Knowledge and logic were evicted from my mind
Only my heart drives me on and keeps me sane

And I can see the day is near...

Tears pour all around me like rain
The bugle plays its sad song
"He has left us!" they claim
But I am no
Ramblings of a Student Midnight, now my darkest hour...
I dream of escaping to Neverland.
But the day has come to test my mind's power.
Against the nightmare that is - the exam!

Upon the mountain of notes will my eyes climb...
Seeking the knowledge held within...
My greatest foe is father time.
His arms slowly taunting me until I go it's time to go in!

All the words and numbers are now just so confusing...
Four months and I'm still trying to grasp problem number ten.
All these scientific notations are making my head buzzing!
Numbers I don't like, there's just too many of them!

Far off I see the promised grade.
Shining beyond a sea of questions...

Where do I go? How do I live? Who do I see?

Until I see her, under the mystic light of the Harvest Moon where she stands.

Helping me with every challenge as they come – and I am but one…

Answering all the mysteries in everyone’s lives
Acting as a guiding light – forever bound.

Seeking out every secret big and small
Which wine does Karen love? Which mine floor does the Mythic Ore lie? Where’s the last power berry?
Whenever we’re all baffled, she will answer the call.
“Wild Grape, level 54, hidden in Pascal’s Ferry”

My farm is now complete
Inside my mansion do my wife and child sing
My barns filled with cows, chickens, and sheep
All of this into my wonderful life did she bring

I made this for a guide writer named Freyashawk. She is one of the most dedicated guide makers I've ever met, and also a good friend. She works on the Harvest Moon and Rune Factory games (and a few others). This may not sound like much at first, but when I say she works, I mean hours upon hours of writing down every bit of text, figuring out every event and game mechanic, and going through the game at slow grueling pace that no gamer would enjoy. Can you imagine, resetting the game several times just to figure out one single event and getting nowhere within the game itself? I honestly don't know many with as much dedication for their work.

Oh, and did I mention that she does it all on her own time and doesn't get paid? Yeah... because she's just awesome like that.

This is merely a small show of appreciation for all that she's done for the benefit of others. She has both a blog on Blogger and a Youtube channel where you can find her guides and video guides respectively.

I am a long time fan of Harvest Moon and recently got into Rune Factory with the Wii game. They're great games, especially if you like Animal Crossing or The Sims. Speaking of which... I think I'm going to go play some more now... :)
